Letting Her Light Shine
Wednesday night when we returned from Bible study it was late and pitch black inside of Hope. But that didn’t stop Cody from wanting to go inside. He forced his way past me and wouldn’t be bribed to come back outside. So I left him alone to go in the house and grab my flashlight. By the time I got back a few seconds later he had already slid down the steps and exited her. I was somewhat glad because I didn’t really want to sit out there at that hour, but it made me sad we couldn’t just go hang out. So after he left for school I spent some time setting up for spur of the moment evening hanging out times.
I installed one string of the colored LED lights, plugged in the desk top oscillating fan and ran both to the remote controlled outside lighting system. Then I velcroed the remote in place just inside the doorway so I can easily turn on lights and fan from the outside.
I think I’ve done more to this RV now then I intended to do until I finish with my camper renovation. But since he keeps going out there, I have to adapt it to work for us. I can’t wait to see his face when he pushes the button next time and the lights go on. Maybe we can go out there this evening.
